Spunqi Portfolio

The Summary

The way I display my portfolio should be a worthy portfolio piece in itself; that's the mindset I had from the beginning. It was important to get the look and feel correct because I planned to visually harmonize and brand all things related to my services.

I built a list of key aspects I wanted for the design, such as minimalism, full-width imagery, and a color scheme consisting of primarily offwhite with accent colors pulled from the centerpiece on the landing page. I knew I wanted the centerpiece to be a vectorized and stylized self portrait, so I took photos, hopped into illustrator, and drew it out.

I began sketching, mock-ups, and finally handwriting the HTML and CSS using CSS3 media queries to make sure the site was responsive to other devices. I wanted to code this site by hand and from scratch in order to have the most control over it as possible.
